The Welsh age-group sides face a busy September schedule, when action resumes into the elite rounds of two Uefa tournaments and a vital U21 qualifier.
Paul Bodin’s U21 side travel to Bosnia & Herzegovina on Friday, 4 September, for their first match since a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture at the Racecourse last November.
The team had been due to face Moldova at home and Germany away before the Covid19 chaos struck, with both matches rescheduled for November. An away match against Belgium scheduled for 9 October stays as planned.
Bodin’s side are currently third in their U21 Euro 2021 qualifying group, one point behind group leaders Belgium.
The men’s U19 Euro 2020 elite round has also been rescheduled for September. Wales had been set to host the mini-tournament in March, but Rob Edwards’ side will now face Germany, Serbia and Austria in the first week of September.
The venues will be confirmed in due course and the group winners will progress to the finals, which will take place in October and November in Northern Ireland.
The U19s reached the elite round after topping their qualifying group last November.
Wales women’s U17s will also take on England in September when their rescheduled WU17 Euro 2020 elite round matches take place at St George’s Park.
Wales will face France (Sunday, 13 September), England (Wednesday, 16 September) and Slovakia (Saturday, 19 September). The seven group winners will qualify to join hosts Sweden in the finals from 4–10 October.
All the matches will be played behind closed doors, in line with the Uefa executive committee’s decision in response to Covid19.
