Wales have added an international against England to their autumn calendar, with the clash against the Three Lions slotting in ahead of the second phase of games in the 2020-21 Nations League campaign.
The match against England will form one of two triple headers in October and November, which will be played behind closed doors in keeping with current government guidelines.
Wales will travel to Wembley on Thursday, 8 October, ahead of the second round of Nations League games starting on the following Sunday away to the Republic of Ireland, with a trip to Bulgaria three days later.
Another international will also be added prior to the Republic of Ireland’s return trip to face Ryan Giggs’ side on Sunday, 15 November, which is followed by the clash against Finland three days later.
Wales’ last visit to Wembley was in 2011 for a Euro 2012 qualifier when Ashley Cole scored the winner in a 1-0 defeat. The two sides also met at Euro 2016, when Wales lost 2-1 in Lens to a late Daniel Sturridge, before going on to reach the semi-finals where they lost 2-0 to eventual champions Portugal.
Giggs’ side will be using the match as part of their preparations for the rescheduled Euro 2020 finals next summer where they hope to return to Wembley, one of the host stadiums, for the latter stages of the tournament.

Before that though there’s the start of the Nations League action when Wales travel to Finland on 3 September and host Bulgaria three days later in Group B4, which also includes the Republic of Ireland.
All fixtures are scheduled to be played behind closed doors for the foreseeable future, although the FAW will notify supporters should arrangements change and tickets become available.
