Bees favourites to make play-off final

Play-off Race

Andre Ayew’s 81st-minute winner at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday evening put Swansea in the driving seat going into tonight’s Championship play-off semi-final second leg, but Brentford remain favourites to book their place at Wembley next Tuesday.

The Bees are 3/5 with SkyBet to beat the Swans in their Griffin Park send-off, with a two-goal victory being enough to set them on their way to Wembley. A one-goal margin would send the game into extra-time, with penalties to follow if the sides were still deadlocked after 30 minutes.

The draw is 3/1, which would see the Swans progress, while they’re priced at 9/2 to win the game in 90 minutes. Both teams are at 5/6 to make it to the final.

In tomorrow night’s match between Fulham and Cardiff, the Cottagers have a 2-0 lead going into their second-leg encounter thanks to goals from Josh Onomah and Neeskens Kebano on Monday night.

It would take a three-goal victory for the Bluebirds to make it to Wembley and they’re priced at 13/5 to win at Craven Cottage, but 14/1 to book a place in the final.

Fulham are 19/20 to win on home turf, with the draw at 9/4. The Cottagers are 1/66 to book their place in the final.

In the market for promotion to the Premier League, Fulham are now 10/11 favourites, with the Bees at 9/4, the Swans 7/2 and the Bluebirds 33/1 outsiders.

But Cardiff can take some comfort from Swansea’s amazing 4-1 win at Reading on the last day of the regular season to make it into the play-offs. Perhaps Neil Harris’ Bluebirds can make their own magic moments tomorrow night! Cardiff are 20/1 to be 2-0 up after 90 minutes at the Cottage, which would take the game into extra-time.
