The Football League season resumes in just over three weeks’ time with Cardiff City at home to Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City away at Preston North End in the Championship, while Newport County head to Scunthorpe in League Two.
The action gets underway at 3pm on Saturday, 12 September, with The Owls the first visitors to Cardiff City Stadium for the 2020-21 season, when the Bluebirds are 7/2 to gain promotion with Unibet.
Next up Cardiff are away at Nottingham Forest seven days later and finish September with Reading’s visit to the Welsh capital the following week.
The Swans, priced at 7/1 for promotion with Unibet, kick off their campaign away at Deepdale, before they welcome Birmingham City to the Liberty Stadium a week later. They finish off the month with a trip to newly-promoted Wycombe Wanderers, who earned promotion to the Championship for the first time in their history through last season’s League One play-offs.
The first of the big South Wales derbies between the two great rivals takes place on Saturday, 12 December, at 3pm at Cardiff City Stadium, with the Bluebirds travelling to the Liberty Stadium for the return fixture on 20 March.
Newport County begin their League Two campaign away to Scunthorpe United, followed by Barrow’s visit to Rodney Parade on 19 September and a trip to Bolton Wanderers the following week.
